I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have a doctorate degree in Contemporary Psychoanalysis. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists, and the Los Angeles County Psychological Association.
I obtained my master’s degree in Social Work from Yeshiva University. Early in my career I worked at social service agencies, including Jewish Big Brothers, Harbor Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente. I studied psychoanalysis at the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis in Los Angeles. Contemporary psychoanalysis is based on and understanding and appreciating of the complexity of human needs, motivations and desires.
Throughout the course of my career I have the opportunity to teach courses in psychotherapy and to supervise new professionals.
My study of Tibetan Buddhism helps me value the importance of patience, generosity, overcoming anger and establishing a calm state of mind.
